Professional Beauty 2000 - Olympia

Well I didn’t get much chance to look around.  I spent the whole two days airbrushing!  Hi to everyone who came over, to say hello or to have their nails done.   It was nice to see some familiar faces and a lot of new ones.  It was hard work for me but very rewarding.

As I say I didn’t have a good look around but from what I did see it was a lot smaller this year than previous years.  There were no stands on the upper level which surprised me.

I usually attend the shows both days and manage to spend a fortune, this time I thought I’d be safe as I was tied to the stand, but no, I had a 10 minute break in which I managed to spend the same amount of money as I normally do in 2 days!!  If I ignored anyone who called me during these precious 10 minutes I’m sorry. I felt like I was on Supermarket Sweep, if I didn’t fill my trolley I’d have failed!!!!!!

Unfortunately I didn’t even get to go and see the nail competitions and the Creative Alternative Nail Awards, so if anyone can give us a review please contact me for the next issue.

We are now preparing for health and Beauty Birmingham at the NEC on 4/5 June.  I have a tonne of entrance tickets if anyone wants one, just give me a call.

If anyone would like to report on the Birmingham show or any of the competitions please contact me.

NAIL ORDER

If you saw the Nail Order stand at Olympia and were impressed with their products you may request a brochure and product info from Karen Smith by e mail nailSmith@btinternet.com.  Karen is the rep for the south but will accept orders from all over the UK.

Home of the Lil’ Whistler files and Pinnacle acrylic, both of which come highly recommended.  I have used the Clear as a Bell powder for sculpted nails and it really is as clear as it sounds!  Looks fantastic with nail art over a set leaving gaps to see through the nail.

My favourite product? The Melon Gotta Dew hand soap.  One of my clients’ friend went to the loo 4 times while waiting for her friend, just to use the soap!!

Stencil of the month…..

This is the stencil used for the Blue Marble design that was featured last month in this newsletter.
