Issue 1
December
1998
Welcome
to the first All Things Nails newsheet. Hopefully,
if things go smoothly this will be the beginning of the All Things Nails Nail
Art reference book. The main reason
for this newsheet is to bring Nail Technicians in contact with each other, a
kind of Chat Line on paper if you like. The
first issue is mainly about me and what I do and why I do it!
The following issues will have pieces written by you and other nail techs
in it. I want to know what your
ideas and thoughts about the nail profession are.
If
you have any problems which are bugging you, eg you just can’t manage to get a
perfect smile line in your acrylic application or you’ve run out of ideas for
advertising, anything, please let me know.
Your question will appear in a future issue and with all of us and our
knowledge we will come up with an suggestion to help you.
Each
issue will have nail art ideas and instructions on creating glorious designs
both freehand and with airbrush. The
nail art featured in this issue was created by me and I hope I have given you
couple of new ideas. I know nail
art can be quite frustrating when you’re asked to create something for your
client and your mind goes blank! It’s
hard to come up with new designs for each client especially when you don’t get
a chance to see what anyone else is producing for their client.
This will give us a chance to show off our work amongst ourselves.
If contact numbers are shown with the nail art then the artist is willing
to talk you through the design if you need help to re-create or vary the nail
art.
